Tried & Tested: Yachting Pages Test our Range of Sea Scooters

Three women using an iAqua water toy exploring the ocean.

We recently had the privilege of hosting the wonderful team from Yachting Pages Media Group, as they took to the water and put our underwater sea scooters through their paces for the newest instalment of their industry-recognised Tried and Tested series. Yachting Pages have been established in the superyacht industry since 2003 and are the creator of the all-important Yachting Pages Directory, so they are the perfect people to put our scuba scooters to the test.

In the tropical paradise of Phuket, Thailand, the AquaDart Pro and AquaDart Nano series were put through rigorous testing by a team of expert water toy testers, ranging from scuba divers to champion free divers, and families with children. Our personal watercraft models were evaluated for categories such as best for yacht charter, scuba diving, and rental companies. Factors like manoeuvrability, speed, and battery life were considered, providing valuable insights into scooter performance. These awards highlight the team's commitment to delivering reliable recommendations.

Honourable mentions
There were a few standout contenders in the lineup that scored highly with the Yachting Pages team for their impressive features and suitability for specific users. These models may not have claimed the top spots, but their notable qualities have earned them recognition within the AquaDart Pro and AquaDart Nano ranges.

The AquaDart Pro 680 Explorer was rated highly out of the AquaDart Pro range and was named ‘Best for Scuba Diving’ due to its long battery life of 140 minutes and ability to counteract the scooter’s positive buoyancy. The scooter is best suited for intermediate divers and above; however, after a few lessons, many amateur divers can also enjoy the full immersive underwater experience that the AquaDart 680 Explorer can provide.

Out of the AquaDart Nano range, the AquaDart Nano 450 Sport was awarded ‘Best for Children and Beginners’ due to its manageable speed and lightweight build. A big reassurance for parents concerned with their child's safety on an AquaDart scubajet is the ability to limit the speed, this can be achieved on all AquaDart models.

Can you guess which AquaDart model was the overall winner?
The award for the overall winner among our vast range, ultimately came down to one water toy. The yachting pages team and testers felt it was the best all-rounder when it came to performance and value for money. The top speed of this model is the same as the AquaDart Pro 720 Max, which they were majorly impressed with due to the winning model’s smaller size and weight. Additionally, a big plus for the testers was how light and transportable the sea scooter was; which also meant it won the award for ‘Best for Yachts under 20m’.

We understand that choosing the perfect water toy for yachts can be challenging, and we are proud to have our range of dive scooters reviewed and rated to assist captains, engineers, and yacht enthusiasts in making thoroughly informed purchasing decisions.
